Blessing Bag (Food Drive)

Sun., September 22 to Sun., October 13

Grace Church

You are welcome to join us in helping people and changing lives through The Lighthouse Centre which demonstrates God’s love by offering unconditional hospitality, by sharing our resources, and by helping people in need. Blessing Bags are available on the table by the mail slots for your food donation. The deadline for this food drive will be Sunday, October 13th. The barrel for your filled Blessing Bags is located by the entrance of the Fellowship Hall at Grace Church. (Note: A flyer posted on the bulletin board lists the various contributions for the Blessing Bag.)  

2019 Ride for Refuge (annual bike-a-thon)

Martin Goodman Trail 

We are two weeks away from Ride for Refuge for the Lighthouse. On October 5th the "Riders of Grace" will be biking the Martin Goodman Trail. Currently the riders are Aaron, Joan, Ryan, Alisa, Tom and Nolan and Roger. If you want to join us please sign up and enjoy a bike ride with us. Or please sponsor one of our riders. The ride starts at Ashbridges Bay Park and we ride on the Martin Goodman Trail which is a dedicated bike path along the Toronto waterfront. The course is very family friendly!!! This fundraiser has become very important to the Lighthouse. Please visit for more details or talk to one of the riders. Both Alisa and Roger are Board members of the Lighthouse. 

Soup Sunday (first gathering in fall)

Fellowship Hall

The first Soup Sunday of the new season will be today, October 6th. For each Soup Sunday, people of one ward will be asked to prepare a pot of soup. If you are living in the SE Ward and if you are able and willing to bring a pot of soup, please sign the “Soup Donation” sign-up sheet posted on the bulletin board by the church office. Thanks. 

Catechism Instruction (first meeting in fall)

11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Council Room

Starting October 6th, following the pastor’s message, there will be catechism instruction most Sundays for those in grades 6 through 12. The catechism class teaches our youth the fundamentals of the Christian faith and the emphases of the Reformed branch of the Christian Church. Rudy will be the primary instructor. If you have a child in grades 6 through 12, please have her/him participate in this class. The class will meet in the Council Room.
